Q. With so many styles, how do I know which ones are the most flattering for my face shape?
A. Look in the mirror and pull back your hair. Does your face appear to be oval, heart, round or square? Almost any beauty wig suits oval…layers love heart…chin-length or longer looks prefer round…and styles that add fullness on top are best for square.

Q. Is it best to always choose a shade that’s close to my natural hair color?
A. If you want a more natural look, you should stay fairly close to your actual hair color or go a couple of shades lighter. Desire a more dramatic change? Go darker or opt for an entirely different hue. Either way, wear your color with confidence!

THE LIFE OF A WIG
Q. Approximately how long will my synthetic beauty wig last?
A. With proper care, a frequently worn wig should last at least 3 to 6 months. We suggest owning at least two styles at a time so you can rotate them in between washings. Use our specially formulated styling products to help extend the life of your wig.

Q. What’s the best way to apply wig styling gel? A. Optimize the natural look of your beauty wig with our exclusive styling gel. Using your fingers, simply work a small amount through the hair fibers to create added texture and definition. The gel washes out easily with our wig shampoo.

Q. I love the look of your curly ’dos. Are they easy to style?
A. Simply give your beauty wig a shake then finger style or use a pick comb to gently lift and separate tight curls and ringlets. Never brush as it could damage the hair fibers. Add a touch of styling gel to the ends for even more definition and shine.
TURN UP THE VOLUME
Q. What’s the difference between permalift and permatease?
A. Our beauty wigs with permalift can be backcombed or teased to achieve volume without added weight. Permatease offers ultimate body as the fibers are crimped at the base for instant volume and permanent lift. Both lessen styling time.
STORE IT RIGHT
Q. What is the best way to store my beauty wig?
A. To maintain its shape between wearings, store your wig on a mannequin or styrofoam styling head. Keep in a place that’s clean and away from sources of high heat, dust and excessive humidity. Always keep an extra beauty wig on hand as a backup.
SHAMPOO YOUR ’DO
Q. How often should I wash my beauty wig?
A. If you wear it frequently, wash it every few days to make it last longer. Gently soak for 5 minutes in a solution of cold water and a capful of Paula Young® shampoo. Rinse in cool water, then press with a towel. Place on a wire stand to dry. Spray on conditioner to freshen.

Q. After washing my wig, what’s the best way to dry it?
A. Gently press it with a towel then place it on our exclusive, chrome-plated wig drying stand. Available in two sizes…one for tall and one for short hair styles. It’s even collapsible for easy travel and storage.

Q. I see that you sell t-pins. What exactly are they for?
A. T-pins are your best friend when it comes to styling. Use them to securely hold your beauty wig on a styrofoam head while you brush, comb and get your ’do just right. Insert and remove easily. 25 per pack.

Q. What’s the benefit of having a styrofoam styling head at home?
A. Styrofoam heads allow hands-free styling and a place to safely store your favorite ’dos. Suction base with adjustable lever secures it to a flat surface (sold separately or in our styling head kits). Short and tall sizes available.

Q. What’s the best way to comb a beauty wig?
A. To minimize stress on the roots of your beauty wig, comb it from the ends first and then gradually move towards the crown. Same tip goes for brushing. Plus, only use wig styling tools. We have a great selection!

Q. How much does skin tone play a part in selecting a hair color?
A. A lot. You want a color that will enhance your natural complexion, not wash it out. Cool skin tones favor cooler hues such as ash blonde, ash brown or bluish black. Warm skin tones look best with warmer shades like honey blonde, dark brown or auburn.

Q. Which lip colors best complement a blonde, brunette, redhead…?
A. In general, blondes look best in soft muted shades like nude, apricot and pink. Brunettes can go bolder in red, berry and plum. Redheads really “wow” in coral and wine. Gray beauties look amazing in rose and mauve.

Q. My forehead is quite sensitive. Will a wig be comfortable?
A. Yes! Our styles have a velvet-like band stitched inside the front of the wig across the forehead area. It’s super soft next to the skin, making it perfect for those with sensitive scalps.

Q. If I have a wig on, can I still comfortably wear my eyeglasses?

A. Heart, oval and square face shapes look great in a chic, chin-grazing cut. Have more of a round face? Opt for a trendy long bob or “lob” with side-swept bangs. It falls at least 1-2 inches below the chin. So classy!
