I have been buying hair pieces from Paula Young for years. Then, for about 10 years I was wearing just my natural hair and having it dyed, highlighted and cut every 6-7 wks. It looked great but expensive and lots of upkeep. I was diagnosed with rosacea, and my spirits were low. My hair has been thinning steadily for 3 years and finally it was very evident to me and it added to my already low self esteem. I just didn't feel like "ME" anymore. Well, rosacea under control and I found you again! The quality, look, and ease of styling these wigs has not changed. Wonderful! I got the Heather in Irish Russet and LIght Auburn as its a length and style I loved and wanted but could never get my own hair to do. It is just beautiful! I receive so many compliments and no one even suspects its a wig. The style is so wearable and the length is long but not too long for my age. The hair is so soft and the movement so natural. I just ordered the Chelsea and the Marion and can't wait till they arrive. I like the "reds" and can't wait to try Honey Red. Thanks Paula Young for quick delivery and service. Also, I have ordered other wigs of recent and none were delivered as fast as PY does!

My hair has thinned from taking blood thinners for years, I finally was so embarrassed by my own hair I decided to try a wig and got this one since it was so like my hair used to be. I was amazed at how beautiful the hair is and how natural it looks and moves. It also fits well. I can just sit it on my hair and let the ends of mine show too and it looks natural. When I want a tighter fit, I tuck my hair under a wig cap and the wig is more secure. I love this wig but I must have gotten one that wasn't made well. You can see the mesh and weave right in the front and on the top front. I cannot get the hair to cover it totally and it makes me so self conscious whenever I wear this wig. Especially if the wind blows. I am forever looking in a mirror and fixing it so less mesh shows or I can wear a hat over it. I have bought more wigs, I'm hooked, and the others are fine on top, I should have exchanged this one. I have washed it twice and the shine is gone and it seems stiffer, it doesn't move as nicely, I do use the proper shampoo and conditioner I bought from Paula Young and followed directions exactly. Also the ends seems to be getting frazzled a bit, they no longer feel smooth. I haven't had wigs long so I don't know how long a synthetic wig is expected to last. I hope longer than this one as I plan to wear them forever.

My husband bought this one for me because it looked like the way I wore my hair the first years of our marriage. I was reluctant to wear such a long style thinking at my age I would look silly. I need not have worried -- putting it on my head took ten years off my face. Now I want to wear it whenever we go out. I added a "part" with eyeshadow and unless someone comes at my head with a magnifying glass, you can't tell its not real. It's not overly thick so I can pass it off as my real hair. I haven't tried curling it yet because I can't imagine it looking any better. This is a great wig.

New Lease On Life!!

About Me Beauty Conscious
It has been many years since I have worn wigs. When I did, I ordered from Paula Young. Now I am much older, and my always-thin hair is even more difficult to style to keep up with current trends. So I began looking at wigs again. My co-workers are all younger than me, so I began to appear as the aging die-hard. When I began wearing my new Heather wig, everyone thought it was my own hair. Friends and co-workers alike say, "Wow! You look 20 years younger!" Not only has that boosted my self-confidence, but I am more productive, and my boss seems to have a renewed respect for me. Heather is extremely comfortable, does not itch, even after 16-18 hours of wearing. I forget I have it on! The color is very natural looking, and the style is so easy! I trimmed the bangs and some of the length to make it more like "me", and I have never been so happy with a wig! Will be ordering more of Heather... and other great Paula Young wigs, hairpieces, and styling needs! Thank you, Paula, for improving my self-esteem and my work world! It's a new lease on life!!

Fantastic wig, fantastic value
Such versatility. Use curling irons, flat irons, heat curlers or blow dryers. Use on low. Style using clips or put your sunglasses on your head. No one will suspect that you didn't grow this beautiful hair. This wig looks fantastic right out of the box. You don't need to do a thing but wear it. But you can change style if you wish. I love this wig.

Pleased with purchase
I purchased the Heather wig about 2 months ago and am so pleased with my purchase. The wig is light weight, comfortable and looks believable. I had been losing my hair on top for sometime now and was looking for a solution to the problem. I decided on a wig. I just knew that I wasn't going to be happy wearing one. To my surprise, the Heather wig, besides being most like my real hair, looked very realistic. I'm so glad I decided to give Paula Young wigs a try. I can't wait to buy another one in a different style. My advice to first time buyers is to stick to one that is most like your real hair and style. Then after you become comfortable with wearing it, you can transition into different styles and colors. In my opinion, the comments from those who aren't happy with these wigs are mostly because of a lack of skills in styling. I was a professional stylist for almost 20 yrs. If you don't have a knack for styling, have your hairdresser style it for you. A professional stylist can give you helpful tips on wearing wigs and how to take care of them. He/she can adjust it the way you want. Most of all, they can advise you how to style it yourself when you get home. That way, you'll get the most out of your purchase and be happy wearing it. I've included some before and after pictures so that you can see what a difference a properly styled wig can make.

I absolutely LOVE this wig
Heather is the style that I've been wearing for years, but it has more hair than me and looks really good. Although my hair is blonde, I thought I would try a white wig (#60)and I absolutely love it. In fact, I've decided that if I get anymore wigs, it will always be in that color. It isn't shiny, so looks very real and washes beautifully. You can curl it, or leave it straight. I love that feature. I trimmed the bangs, but left everything else as is. If you like a bob, this would be the one I would recommend!

Great Wig......always gets compliments!
from Milwaukee, WI
As a licensed hair stylist who just got through chemotherapy for breast cancer and lost all my hair, the Heather wig is terrific. I did trim it a bit and curl it under, which was very successful, and I get compliments all the time--from those who know the circumstances to those who just think I have cut my hair into a new style! I own two of them currently as my hair is growing in. Only hope my own hair will style so well.

I would definitely buy this one again!
This is my first wig purchase. Over the years my hair has gotten so thin on top that I could no longer disguise the thinning anymore. My husband saw the "Heather" wig on the cover of a catalog I received. It looks exactly like my hair used to look. It was his suggestion to purchase it. I had been thinking about a wig for some time, but was afraid to suggest it. I was surprised just how natural it looks. The color matches my natural color exactly! I can use some of my own hair around the hairline, which makes it even more believable. The cut out ears for my glasses is nice. You don't shift the wig when putting them on. I styled wigs for most of the 20 yrs. I was a hairdresser. I never guessed that one day I'd have to wear one. My suggestion to those out there buying a wig.... Your first wig should be most like your natural color and style. Later on, you can branch out to different styles and colors, otherwise you're not going to be happy. If you're not handy with hair, please take it to a stylist and let her style it on you. Then if you want to make any changes you can disguss it at that time. A professional will also show you how to take care of it, and most important how to style it on yourself. They have so many helpful tips they can pass along. If you can't get it to look like the picture or it just doesn't feel right, an experienced stylist can fix those little problems so you'll be happy with it. Most of the negative responses I see on these wigs in my opinion, are due to not knowing how to style it properly. Correct styling will make you much more comfortable and the wig more believable. I'll post some photos as soon as I find a before picture.
I have been thinning on top over the years and have come to a point where it is impossible to cover my scalp anymore, no matter how I fuss. My husband was the one who suggested trying a wig. He saw the "Heather" wig on the cover of your latest catalog. I had thought about it a few times myself, but was afraid to suggest it. The Heather wig was most like my hair, so I thought I might be more comfortable in it. I would recommend to anyone wearing one for the first time, choose one as close as possible to what your real hair looks like. After a while you can branch out into more daring styles and colors. I'm not used to fullness so this style was perfect. The color I ordered (#4 Dk.Brown)matches my natural color exactly! I can even use some of my own real hair around the hairline, which makes it even more convincing. I feel like I have my hair back again. I do get nervous going out on a windy day, but I'm considering ordering a long wig that I can french braid and use just for casual wear, (being out all day, BBQ's or a day at the beach). Wigs certainly aren't how they used to be years ago. They look so natural now...even the sythetic ones. I thought the price was reasonable too. I'd like to eventually post some photos.
